ABOUT
The Quill and Forge is an independently operated business making props, supplies, accessories, and décor items for anyone who loves the look of fantasy and medieval style items. The props and items here can be used for TTRPGs , LARP, cosplay and costuming, or just decoration. Immerse yourself in your own fantasy world! I collect several natural materials to craft some of my supplies and I hand dye all of my paper products with tea or coffee. I also purchase materials to sell for others to create their own props and create prop kits with these items. The Quill and Forge focuses on making custom items for people, but also on selling supplies for others to make their own props. One of the big things I sell is paper and letter items, hence the quill part of the name. The forge part of the name is because I craft a bunch of other random items. I also purchase sell some items that I did not make for resale that are a great addition to my shop and it's theme. All items including custom items will be available on Etsy. As I get things more established items may be moved onto this site to keep things cohesive and in one place. I hope one day to be able to sell at the Bristol Renaissance Faire. |

Workshop Info
✧Smoke-free workspace
✧Animals and natural materials may come in contact with supplies or final products
✧Located in Wisconsin, United States
Disclaimers of Allergens
✧I own a bird that comes into the same area as my workspace, so if you are allergic to birds you may want to order from another shop as allergens from her are unavoidable. I also live with a dog and cats so those allergens will probably be brought into my workspace as well, though they are not allowed in the workspace.
✧I also work with a lot of natural materials such as grasses, woods, acorns, pine cones, moss, flowers, and more things that may have pollen or other allergens so if you have allergies to outside plants be aware that there may be some contamination with my regular items and you should order from another shop if you have strong allergic reactions to outside plants. I will try my best to keep the natural materials separate from my regular items that don't have them but I work in a small place so it may be hard to keep them completely separate.
Product Disclaimers
✧I do source some of my bulk crafting supplies and some other pre-made items from China. Some items such as metal jewelry or other metal items may contain lead or similar harmful metals. I try to check with the company when purchasing items but some give a generic answer (or no answer at all) and I can't be for sure what is in the pieces. Generally things such as lead aren't absorbed through the skin well and are only an issue if put in your mouth or ingested. Other times I buy some of my crafting supplies from local crafting supplies stores or from Amazon (which most items say they are from China anyways). It is best that you do not give children any of these necklaces that have the charms unless they are old enough not to put them in their mouth.
✧I hand make a lot of my items, therefore there may be differences in the same product if you reorder or order multiple items of the same listing. I am testing some new product ideas and using new crafting supplies, so if a product becomes faulty or breaks in an unreasonable way or amount of time, please contact me and I will do my best to fix the problem.
✧Colors in listings might not be 100% accurate to the actual product due to color differences between monitors. Many items I make are all handmade therefore they might not be exactly like the listing photo as there might be slight differences when making each one.
✧I do use some bones and antlers in my products. I purchase these from companies who ethically source them from shed collectors, from hunters who legally obtained the deer, or from those who find bones in the woods. I try my best to check with the company I am purchasing from to make sure these are as ethically sourced as possible.
